Health and Wellness
Our chapter proudly sponsored a 2018 Community Health Fair focused on women's health, mental health and overall preventative health care. We also registered attendees to vote as the health of a community is interdependent on those elected to represent the community. Our efforts were honored by county executive Jan Gadner for our focus and service to the community.
HBCUs are critical to the success of African American students throughout the history of this country. They are a crucial link to African American communities offering the opportunity to pursue a college education, for some the first in their families. We support these institutions to ensure a bright future for African American children across this country and the world.
Our service does not end within our communities. It reaches across this nation and the world. Every year we help local charities make pillows, blankets and clothing for children with terminal or chronic illnesses, or are in underserved communities.
